Long light hazel hair stretches in a pin-straight fashion down to Evangeline’s mid- back. Her fringe is fairly long and often hangs in her eyes, and the top of her head is usually accompanied with a bow of some sort. Her face, along with the rest of her body, is long, thin, and porcelain pale. Her features are fairly soft and lovely with her upturned button nose, deep cerulean blue eyes, long lashes, thin lips, and high cheek bones. Often times the girl can be seen with powder blue and pink petticoats on. Her waist is extremely thin and a corset only succeeds in making it even tinier. The noblewoman is tall and skinny with bony features and hips.
When she walks she lacks the elegance most women of her stature possess. However, the obscene clumsiness she uses gives her a unique air of influence. Her nails are long and neatly kept as well as the rest of her exposed skin. Despite being in her teenage years her skin is extremely smooth and silky to the touch. Evangeline has painfully straight white teeth which often bother her because of how perfect they seem. Most of the time she wears a distant expression upon her face, for she is often lost in thought. Most people are drawn back from her just because of how different she seems upon first glance.

Personality
It would be hard to decidedly call Evangeline and extrovert or an introvert. When she wants to talk she can blabber on for hours, and when she doesn’t she remains deathly quiet. It all depends on her moods which change very frequently. As a thinker, she often recalls from past experiences or things that she has read and analytically infers her ideas. Though she has an acute mind and large vocabulary she prone to doing things rather clumsily and childishly. She often catches herself thinking to herself in third person.
From her mother Evangeline inherits her openness. She loves art, theatre, music, and abstract ideals. From her father she inherits intelligence and an absurd amount of pride. The girl tends to see distinctions and inconsistencies instantaneously; she often puckers up her lips when this happens. She can also detect contradictions no matter when or where they are made. An amazing skill she possesses from this is being able to frame her words resolutely and almost accusingly. Her curiosity and general absurd imagination make these strange traits of hers all the more worthwhile.
Evangeline has a logical way of thinking, yet at the same time she enables herself to believe in fairy tales, ghosts, and magic. She loves to create music, painting, and reading any type of book. Her personality is an odd contrast of a rational-thinker and a five-year old with too time on their hands. People often find it hard to approach her and she often seems quite cold because of her analytical ways. Yet, she is quite the loving girl and loves small animals and children. She is not too fond of older people though…

History
Evangeline Theodosia Burke was brought into the world on a rainy October day. She was the first born child of The Honorable Marquess of Bath, Richard Jonathon Burke the VI. The newborn was the pride and joy of her mother’s eye, and a real precious jewel to anyone who laid their eyes upon her plump little face. Following her birth she led the childhood of an heiress being primped for her role as the would-be Marchioness of Bath. That is, she was treated this way until her younger brother of five years was born. He was the oldest son and that made him the rightful heir in her place.
A willful and imaginative little elf-like girl, Evangeline hardly minded being out of the spot light. She took the extra time she was not being doted upon and explored her family’s estate with youthful vigor. The springy child tromped through the nearby wood, galloped through the stables, and rummaged through the guest rooms upstairs in her mansion. Much to the resident seamstress’ disdain she had ripped many a newly made petticoats in her younger years.
With newfound discipline a Governess soon made her appearance at Evangeline’s manor. This strict old woman forced the wild little girl to sit down and endure lessons on etiquette, drawing, reading, arithmetic, and much more. In fact, the only lessons that were not forced (with various threats) upon Evangeline were her Cello, French, and reading lessons. The sad truth is that the young noble was an extremely sharp child, but she was absurdly lazy at the same time and did not want to perform her duties.
When she was twelve years old, Evangeline’s younger brother died from complications he had since birth. This left her and her three younger sisters without a male heir for their father. He had no more legitimate sons. Though, he did have two or three by his mistresses. However, they could never inherit the title of Marquess from their father. With begrudging reluctance, the man allowed Evangeline to start being primped for her role as heir to the family once more. The relationship between the girl and her father grew rather strained over the next few years.
Evangeline was an extremely eccentric child who loved to play with tarot cards, chew on mint leaves, and read books quite a lot. Her stature was tall and wiry and she preferred to play her cello then buy new dresses. She stared off in daydreams during teatime, refused to interact with most of her peers, and often defended women’s rights. It was as though she was born in the wrong era. To her father she was viewed as a disgrace, but her mother often complimented her child and her diverse actions.
At the age of fourteen Evangeline’s mother died from phenomena. The death strangely affected the young lady and she grew tiresome and restless and would often disappear from her home for hours at a time. Where did she go? No one was entirely certain, and she would never tell. With a fair amount of disdain her father made the reluctant choice to send her to spend the year with his younger brother and his wife who lived in London. Evangeline happily agreed and did so fairly quickly. She adored the hustle and bustle of the larger city. It made her quite at ease.
